Bhrugu Sanhita Information The term Astrology is derived from a Latin word 'Astrologia', means the study of celetial bodies.Astrology is a science,based on the relative positions of the celestial bodies,which influence the human life. Astrologers believe that the movements and positions of celestial bodies either directly influence life on the Earth or correspond to events experienced on a human scale. Vedic Astrology Indian Astrology,known as 'Jyotish', had evolved much before the western astronomers and astrologers came in to existance.It has its roots steeped into the Vedas which date back to 1500 BC.It is an ancient science, based on planetary influences which was developed by the ancient Indian sages and saints.Indian Astrology is based upon the predicting the future of indivudals, nations or other events relying on the planetary movements.Indian Astrology interprets the future as moulded by indivisual's previous deeds(Karma) or birth and predicts by the planetary positions at the time of his birth.Indian Astrology has three branches namely - Siddhanta, Samhita and Hora. Siddhantas are based on the astronomical study of celestial bodies. Samhitas deals with mundane astrology,economic conditions, floods, earth quakes, volcanic eruptions,rainfall, weather conditions etc.Hora deals with guiding in the auspicious timing for various events in our day to day life. Nakshatras The Indian Astrology study consists of 27 Nakshatras.The movements of the two luminaries Sun and, the five major planets- Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Mercury and the two nodal points of the Moon i.e. Rahu and Ketu are considered.The late discovered planets- Pluto, Neptune and Uranusare not recognised in the Indian Astrology. Moon and Rasi / Rashi Moon is given more importance in Indian astrology,being the nearest to the Earth and exercises much influences on us.The waxing and the waning of the Moon causes the tides of the seas and affects the plants,animals and human beings.The position of the Moon in the birth chart is called the Rashi or Moon sign and this along with the Nakshatra or the star constellation of the individual is used for predictions. Indian astrology is vastly used all over for predicting the birth,nature,wedding ties and auspicious dates etc. Nadi Nadi Shastra or Astrology gives predictions of life and destiny patterns of people born at 12,24,48 seconds intervals.These have been written on palm leaves by our ancient sages.There are very few experts who can read and understand these.The predictions are found to be amazingly accurate.
