The Bhagavad-Gita is the divine advise by the Ultimate Power, Lord Krishna and is the sacred scriptures of all Hindus.The Bhagavad Gita consists of  about 700 verses, and is a part of the epic Mahabharat.

The content of the Gita is the conversation between Krishna and Arjun during the war at Kurukshetra between Pandavas and Kauravas.

The Supremo,Krishna explains the art of self-realization and the right way by to establish eternal relationship with God.

The beauty of Bhagavad-Gita is that its knowledge applies to all human beings and does not postulate any secular view. It reveals the eternal principles which are fundamental and essential for spiritual life from all angles and explains the esoteric truths hidden within all religious scriptures.

                                        

   The  Bhagvad-Gita's eighteen chapters

1) On the Kurukshetra Battlefield,when Arjuna observes his relatives on the opposite side, decides not to fight.

2)Krishna advises Arjuna that a warrior has a duty to uphold the path of dharma through warfare.

3)If knowledge is more important than action then why action is necessary.So, Krishna advises Arjuna that performing his duties for the welfare, is the appropriate action.

4)Krishna explains the importance of having a guru.He advises Yoga for the protection of the pious and the destruction of the impious.

5)Arjuna asks Krishna if it is better to forgo action.On that Krishna replies that both ways may be benefial, but that acting in Karma Yoga is superior.

6)Krishna describes the way of meditation.

7)Krishna teaches the path of knowledge..

8)Krishna defines various terms like,-brahman,karma, adhyatma atman,adhibhuta etc.

9)Krishna reveals that, "all the beings are in him" as a way to remember him in all circumstances.

                                         

10)Krishna explains how he is the ultimate power and source of all material and spiritual worlds.

11)Krishna displays his miraculous universal form.

12)Krishna describes the Bhakti Yoga that is the process of devotional service .

13)Krishna describes nature, the enjoyer and consciousness.

14)Krishna tells the three modes of material nature.

15)Krishna describes a tree of material existenceKrishna explains that this tree should be fcut with the "axe of detachment",so that one can go beyond to his supreme abode

16)Krishna explains that one must give up lust, anger and greed, justify the right and wrong action.

17)Krishna tells of three divisions of faith and the thoughts, deeds and even eating habits corresponding to the three gunas.

18)Finally, Krishna tells Arjun to abandon all forms of dharma and simply surrender unto him,which the real way of justifying the life.
