Khunya Ganapati-Dhule

This is situated at Bhoigalli,Dhule,Jalgaon.During the Ganesha Procession on Ganesh festival there was a big riot here and nine persons were murdered(khoon).Hence this idol was named as 'Khunya'.

The temple is old fashioned and the statue of Ganesha was discovered in the year 1864 by the 'Bhoi' people.

The idol is facing the east ditrection and the trunk is turned on the right side.
