Shri. Hanuman,a Brahmachari ,is worshipped all over India,either alone or with Ssri Rama.He was born from the Wind-God and Anjani Devi and was called "PawanPutra".

His birthday falls on Chaitra Shukla Purnima (the March-April full moon day).His other names are Pavanasuta, Marutsuta, Pavankumar, Bajrangabali and Mahavira.  

He lived to serve Sri Rama.  He served Shri Rama with full devotion, without expecting any returns.  He was humble, brave and wise. He possessed all the divine qualities.

He did impossible tasks like, crossing the ocean simply by uttering Ram-Nam, burning the golden city of Lanka, and getting the Sanjeevini herb to bring Lakshmana back to life.

He said to Ravana, "I am a humble messenger of Shri Rama.By the command of Lord Rama I have come here to do his work I am fearless by the grace of Lord Rama. I am not afraid of death. I welcome it if it comes while serving to Lord Shri.Rama.

Lord Rama said to Shri Hanuman, "O mighty hero! You did miraculous deeds without expecting anything in returns.You have not asked for anything at any time. You refused the precious garland of pearls awarded to you by Sita.  I will always remain deeply indebted to you. I give you the boon of immortal life.

All will honour and worship you like me. Your idol will be placed at the entrance of My temple and you will be worshipped and honoured before me. Your glory will be always sung before mine.  

Worship Sri Hanuman on his Jayanti,fast on this day,read Hanuman Chalisa,spend the whole day in the Japa of Ram-Nam. Shri Hanuman willbless you with success and fulfill all your desires.
