As per the Vedic astrology, Kaal Sarp Yog (KSY) is formed,when the serpentine energy,associated with Rahu and Ketu,entangles itself around other planets and hence constrict and disrupt the planetary radiations. The KSY is formed when all the planets turn up between (dragon's Head)Rahu and (dragon's tail)Ketu i. e.between the north and south nodes of the Moon.For entire formation of KSY,half of the chart is to be occupied by the planets.KSY is not formed,even if one planet is outside the Rahu- Ketu axis.
