Panchang / Ephemeris

Information

The word Panchang comes from the Sanskrit word Panchangam (panch means five & anga means limbs) ie the five parameters of the calendar - day/vaar, tithi, star/nakshatra, yoga and karana, corresponding to that day.Panchang is an ancient technique that guides when to initiate your ventures with good times and increase the chances of success and smooth working.

Panchang has different names in India - Marathi Panchang,Kannada Panchangam, Tamil panchangam, Telugu Panchangam, Gujarati Panchang, Bengali Panchang,Hindi Panchang etc.Hindu Panchang ie the Indian calendar is based on Nakshatras. The Panchang is used by Vedic Astrologers to judge the auspiciousness of the time and is also used to calculate the vedic birth chart, horoscope or janam Patrika of a person.

Panchang is an online astrological diary.Hindu Panchang is an ancient Indian Calendar system based on Astrological facts and astronomical data. Calculations are done based on the position and movement of the planets, stars, nakshatra and constellations. The calculations in the Panchang are used to determine the auspicious time like - day, tithis, nakshatras and the Muhurat. These auspicious dates are necessary for various occasions like wedding, thread ceremony, starting a new business, buying and selling of a property, entering a new house etc.

Any deed done on a day with a favorable star or shubh nakshatra will destroy all sorts of ill effects on the person; diseases will disappear if deeds are performed at a time of shubh yoga and goals will be achieved without hurdles if began during a shubh muhurat. The Panchang also gives us the dates of important hindu festivals, daily nakshatras and Moons transit, sunset, sunrise etc..
