Sade Sati

Precautions   Shani Mantra   Horoscope  Lord Shani Info & Worship

                                                                          Information

Sadesati(A period of 7 & 1/2 years), is one of the most crucial and tough period in life.It is related the position of planet Saturn(Shani),in the horoscope.Saturn completes its rotation around the Sun in 30 years. This astrological phase is much feared especially by the Hindus. In this troublesome period one has to face many tough challenges.

The impact of Sadesati depends upon the positions of other planets in the horoscope. If the effect of Jupitor is strong then the Sadesati effect is lessened.

The impact of Sadesati is different for peopple with different moon signs. It is observed that the people of moon sign Aquarius have less impact from Sadesati, the people of Moon sign Leo who feel the major impact.

During the Sadesati period the extreme loses are like-Property clashes, family problems, financial crisis, fights, incomplete ventures, sudden serious illness etc.

There are 12 zodiac signs(Rashi). Thus Saturn remains in each zodiac sign(Rashi) for a period of 2.5 years(Dhaiyya). The planet Saturn(Shani) has also it's effect on the previous and next Rashi.Hence the total time period of the effect of Saturn is 3x2.5=7.5 Yeras and that is called the "Sadesati".

When Saturn enters the previous Rashi(sign) of the birth moon sign, the Sadesati begins(Pratham Dhaiyya). When Saturn passes out of the next sign of the birth sign, Sadesati comes to an end.

So,if the Moon sign of a person is Tula, then the Sadesati will begin when the Shani enters in the previous Rashi ie. 'Kanya' and Sadesati will end when Shani will leave the Rashi 'Vrishchik' and enter in the Rashi 'Dhanu'.So Shani will remain in Kanya for 2.5 years,Tula 2.5 years and Vrishchik 2.5 years(total 7.5 years)

                                                                          Horoscope

In the second phase(Dwitiya Dhaiyya) ie when the Shani enters the Moon house(Rashi of Indivisual)then the impact of Sadesati is maximum. The three Dhaiyyas have different effects. In some cases, the Sadesati has given prosperity to people.

                                                                          Precautions

In consultation with a learned astrolloger, the person suffering from this period is advised to wear a Stainless,Silver or Gold Ring of Neelmani (Blue Saphire) in the middle finger of right hand.

It is very important to consult a knowledgeable person for selecting the genuine Blue Saphire stone.A wrong stone(Neelmani) may create adverse effects.

It is also recommended to visit and worship the Shani-Shinganapur shrine, near Shirdi,on Pune-Ahmadnagar Road,Maharashtra,India.

During sadesati reading the Shani Stotra gives a good protection from sadesati. Also worshipping Lord Hanuman and chanting his Mantra will give relief from Sadesati.
